Public Forum:

Cllr Roberts welcomed everyone to the meeting. Resident thanked Council for getting grit bin.

Cllr Hill - last year you talked about re directing dyke (to take pressure off the Brook?  Cllr Hill some work was done but not completed – long term plan!!

Last year over 800 houses affected – 2 night’s rain – drains cannot cope with that (Brookside Cottage) brook in front of property – concern over why happened twice in 11 months.

Bird Scarers going off at3.30 in morning – go off every 4 minutes – lady text someone and they were taken down before Christmas – obviously have been connected up again.  Need to alert Police!  Representation from PC to take up with SKDC. Gas guns going off in evening – Cllr Roberts will take up with relevant parties.

End of Village, corner of Copeland/Aveland – surface water going through at rate of knots – large vehicles coming through at speed (Tsunami) – could we have signage etc for vehicles to go slowly.  Cllr Roberts will look into putting signage up for Flooding etc. Sleeping Policeman or pump! That we can use in emergencies - One Way priority!

LCC re flooding – need to sort drains (problem last year).  Cllr odds cleared drains – drains feed into the brook and down across other side of the road.

Resident expressed her thanks to Cllr Dodds who at 5 am this morning came out (flooding) - and for providing sandbags.

Something on at the Church –vehicles parking all way down the village – difficult for people to get through!!

Lines difficult – cones to put in place!!

Minutes of last meeting 18th November 2024 – minor amendment to be made – Cllr Dodds in twice- minutes to be re circulated.

Matters Arising:

Leylandi Hedge 20 ft clearance – one or two elsewhere to deal with.

Finance: Payments approved for the following -

Parish Clerk Salary – November and December - £218.91

HMRC – current case has been dropped..

Parish Clerk Update:

NSK Parish Council Engagement Session 21st January 2025.

Storage of Sand and Sand Bags: Brian –

Planning:

S24/1623 - Low Park Lodge - No objections.

Highways: Overgrown Hedge, Kirkby Underwood Road.

Neighbourhood Watch:

Some tenants evicted.

Cemetery:

Think should put  price up, ask about sign!
