ASLACKBY & LAUGHTON PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
MONDAY 7TH OCTOBER 2024

Attendees: Cllr Roberts (Chair); Cllr Miller; Cllr Dodds: Cllr Fairhead; Cllr Carr-Bilas and (late arrival) Cllr Atkinson

1. Public Forum – member of the public joined at 7.10 and asked why the board in the Cemetery for enquiries has the contact name of a person who is deceased? Also why there is no waste bin on Kirkby Underwood Road. They also congratulated the Parish Council on the letter commenting on plans submitted for work at Temple Farmhouse.

5. County Councillor and District Councillor’s Reports
Richard Dixon-Warren presented his report from the District Council and reminded us of the forthcoming meeting in Bourne for Parish Councillors and the Arnhem Memorial Service at St Wulfrums in Grantham on 25th October.
Martin Hill joined the meeting and gave an update on the road resurfacing from A15 to Laughton, which will happen between 14-16th October.

2nd September 2024 – No minutes from the previous meeting were available to review
7. Matters arising from above minutes – see above
8. Finance:
Parish Clerk was not present so no Payments were authorised
9. Parish Clerk Update – No update was available
10. Storage of Sand and Sand Bags – during recent stormy weather, Karen advised on Facebook that she had sandbags available. MD noted that the storage of sand and sandbags may need to be reconsidered as his yard may not be suitable long term and the resident who has sand is considering relocating.
Cllr Atkinson arrived to the meeting
11. Planning: - Holly tree at Temple Farm has an application in for reducing its height. There is also a submission for new windows at Moorfield Farm – no objections were raised.
12. Highways: - MH advised that the County Council has cleared the layby on the A15 between Aslackby and Graby.
13. Neighbourhood Watch – no update

14. Cemetery – Cllr Roberts will approach BW regarding the cemetery signage raised by the public

16. To resolve whether the council move into closed session.
17. Any Matters for general discussion or inclusion in next agenda.
