ASLACKBY & LAUGHTON PARISH COUNCIL

MINUTES OF PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD  AT ASLACKBY VILLAGE HALL ON MONDAY 5TH JUNE 2023 COMMENCING AT 6 PM.

In attendance: Cllrs Roberts, Dodds, Fairhead, Miller and District Cllr R Dixon-Warren.

1.   Welcome by Chairman and Apologies: Cllr Roberts welcomed everyone to the meeting.  Apologies from Cllr Atkinson and County Cllr Martin Hill advising would not be able to make start of meeting.

2.   Announcement of Co-Opted Councillors and the current temporary Clerk: 

Alison Carr and Matthew Leighton were both duly elected – relevant forms completed for forwarding to SKDC by Clerk.

Parish Clerk – Mrs Wendy Gray from Rippingale (Parish Clerk at 3 other parishes) currently standing in as Parish Clerk.

THE PUBLIC WERE INVITED TO SPEAK AT THIS POINT OF THE MEETING 

3.   Declaration of interest: None.

4.   Minutes of the last two meetings to be agreed and signed: All in agreement for minutes dated 15th May 2023 to be signed.

5.   Matters Arising from Minutes: None.

6.   Look at individuals areas of responsibilities(portfolio):

Neighbourhood Watch – enroll on website, let village know looking at setting up.
Planning – All.
Highways – George Atkinson.
Finance (Signatories) Alison, Malcolm, Matt.  (Look at setting up electronic banking).
Highways: Nothing to report.
Cemetery: Brian happy to continue looking after.

7.   Correspondence: None.

8.   SKDC Update: Following election no overall control by 1 vote 3 different parties running the council, Leader is from Stamford, Cllr Dixon-Warren – going forward will be exciting and challenging. 

9.   Lincs County Council Update: No update

10.   Any Other Business – 

Create Parish Council Gmail account.
